Born in New York, I studied art, psychology, sociology and religions and began to explore meditation and Tai Chi. After travelling across the US when I was 20 and visiting several spiritual communities I had an inspiration to learn massage and holistic health modalities as a way to positively connect with and affect the people and world around me. I initially studied herbs, then Shiatsu, Zen Bodytherapy, Rolfing and Feldenkrais, and meditation. Shortly after this I joined a spiritual community and intensely practiced prayer and meditation for the next 11 years.
I continued bodywork personally until 2007 when I moved to Israel and re-immersed myself in it and worked in private massage practice in Tel Aviv until 2012. During that time I further studied Rolfing’s myofascial work, Shiatsu, Libra Spinal Balancing, and Trigger Point therapy, as well as dance, pre-natal massage, aromatherapy, and shamanic practices.
I was fortunate to learn Continuum with the founder Emily Conrad during the last 2 years of her life. Since then I’ve also studied Thai massage, Ayurvedic therapies, structural bodywork based on physical therapy principles, and water therapy as well as internal martial arts, music, and relationship and counseling methods which have also increased my sensitivity in working with people.
I’ve also become very interested in and incorporate Osteopathy, Dynamic Manual Interface, and Craniosacral Therapy which are hands on methods that operate from a basis of listening to and encouraging our bodies’ natural intelligence and power of healing.
“In my sessions I strive to listen to what each person and their body needs and weave together treatments to assist body and spirit in releasing blockages in the form of pain,
tension, and trauma and liberate the natural blissful flow of energy of in our bodies and lives”.
